Mark and Melvin Lindquist are legendary figures in the field of woodturning, each
having been recognized as a pioneer in the development of this art form. Their works
are in many of the country's major museums, including the
Metropolitan Museum of Art, the National Museum of American Art, and the Chicago Art
Institute, and many top US corporate
collections.

Every now and then, collectors and museum persons come to
the studio to visit. (LEFT) Arthur and
Jane Mason visited in January 1999 and Arthur worked with Mel in the
studio. (RIGHT) Albert
LeCoff (Director
of the Wood
Turning Center),
and Glenn Adamson (doctoral candidate at Yale University) visit with Melvin while curating
works for the upcoming Yale/WTC exhibit: "Wood Turning in
North America Since 1930"

LeCoff and Mr. Adamson are part of the curatorial team for the exhibition.
